Xin joined the Kwon Lab as a Postdoctoral Fellow in September 2025. She completed her Ph.D. at Zhejiang University, where her research focused on investigating the evolutionary dynamics of the microbiome using deep metagenomic sequencing and population genetics approaches. In the Kwon Lab, Xin is conducting large-scale multi-omics studies of the reproductive tract microbiome and host, and developing computational approaches to interpret multi-omics data, seeking to advance understanding of host–microbiome interactions. Outside of research, she enjoys listening to rock music, playing badminton, cycling and other outdoor activities.
