Scarlet joined the Kwon Lab in September 2024 as a Bioinformatics Technician II. She received her bachelor's degree in environmental biology and statistics from Columbia University and her master's degree in biological sciences from the University of Cambridge, UK. She is leading the construction of a female genital tract genomic catalog from clinical samples, leveraging data science to shed light on cervicovaginal health outcomes and HIV acquisition risk. She is also involved in supporting data analyses across projects in the lab in general. Outside of work, she enjoys running, photography, music, and playing the piano.
