Meilin completed her PhD from MIT's Biological Engineering program, under the co-advisorship of Professors Paul Blainey and Doug Kwon. In her graduate studies, Meilin advanced an ultra high-throughput, combinatorial drug discovery platform for the purpose of antibiotic discovery against multidrug-resistant pathogens and studied bacterial lipid metabolism to identify non-antibiotic strategies for bacterial vaginosis (BV) treatment. She is now focused on translating her findings into a novel adjunctive therapy for BV, with the goal of advancing it to a clinical trial. In her free time, Meilin enjoys chasing her corgi around Donnelly field and running along the Charles.
