Mariette joined the Kwon Lab in April 2025 as a graduate student. She holds a B.S. in Biology from Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz and a master's degree in Integrated Immunology from the Friedrich-Alexander University Erlangen-Nuremberg (FAU). Her scientific journey has included research in neuroscience, virology, and mucosal immunology, which ultimately led her to her current project in the Kwon Lab. Her research aims to decipher the mechanisms of intestinal enteropathy in people with HIV by integrating stem cell biology and immunology. In her free time, Mariette can be found at concerts, picking up new DIY hobbies, or exploring Boston.
